This facility will ensure that the human resources required for critical care is adequately trained and provides an opportunity for us to continue supporting the students with internationally qualified paramedics trainers. It complements ongoing efforts by the Company to support the establishment of Uganda’s first ambulance station at Naguru.

Over 50 teams from all sub counties and town councils in the district competed in the Nwoya Talent Cup and 16 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams qualified for the mini league.

In Uganda, TotalEnergies is supporting the transition to electric mobility and will host infrastructure for battery swapping and charging stations at selected service stations. The #TErEvolutionUG hackathon which is aimed at identifying optimal charging stations in Kampala for electric vehicles is therefore another way the Company will contribute to the promotion of e-mobility.

The VIA program also comprises a “Train the Trainer” model where schoolteachers are trained as VIA educators.  Over 250 teachers have completed the training and have graduated as VIA road safety educators. The selected teachers are empowered to deliver the VIA road safety program within their respective schools.

This five-year commitment marks the start of a partnership to enhance the understanding of Budongo Central Forest Reserve, raise awareness of its immense biodiversity value and support NFA in its strategic objectives to improve management of central forest reserves.

All beneficiary households are assisted by TotalEnergies EP Uganda to acquire free-hold land titles and are supported during the relocation and acclimatization process to include participation in the various livelihood restoration programs.

Thanks to this partnership, three (3) Ugandan students will pursue fully funded two-year Master’s scholarships in France during the 2023/2024 and 2024-2025 academic years, in agriculture-related fields, including agronomy, agricultural engineering and agribusiness, with English as the medium of instruction. 

This year’s Mini-League attracted 96 football teams from all sub-counties in the Buliisa district. 26 of these were women's teams competing for the first time in TotalEnergies EP Uganda's annual Mini-League, which was organized in partnership with the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) and the Buliisa District Football Association (DFA).
