Having been formally a Minister of Environment, she talked about the low consumption of LPG which is at 1% at the household level and she mainly attributed the low usage stats to simply phobia according to a research that was conducted, yet the Minister said that she uses gas in her home because it's a cleaner energy option. But Ugandans still have a negative mindset towards gas, "I am appealing to you players including UNOC to develop this LPG sector", if all employees of working for an energy company including the Minister's Ministry employees all lead the crusade of using gas, the rest of Uganda would join in.
She highlighted TOTAL's contribution to the country of Uganda, citing that the company has lived up to the standard it holds are the leading energy major in the industry in as far as quality products and services, employment, and tax contribution towards the development of Uganda, "we appreciate all this" as she concluded her remarks and proceeded to officially commission the new office campus buildings.
