Tilenga Project Human Rights Reports & Documents

TEP Uganda has zero-tolerance towards any form of sexual harassment. Sexual harassment refers to unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature causing offence. 

This year's Tilenga Human Rights report provides an update of the activities undertaken in the project for the year 2023. Some of the reported actions are follow-up recommendations from the Human Rights Action Plan Framework for ongoing Human Rights Due Diligence.

TEPU commits to respect Human Rights & applicable laws in all of our activities and to implement the UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights, the UN Global Compact Principles, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organization and the VPSHR.

The following is a brief summary of the Tilenga Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA) that has been prepared to support disclosure and dialogue with affected stakeholders, particularly at the community level.

The VPSHR are nonbinding principles which offer guidance to companies in maintaining the safety and security of their operations while ensuring respect for Human Rights and humanitarian law.
