Tilenga Project Human Rights Reports & Documents

This year's Tilenga Human Rights report provides an update of the activities undertaken in the project for the year 2023. Some of the reported actions are follow-up recommendations from the Human Rights Action Plan Framework for ongoing Human Rights Due Diligence.

TEPU commits to respect Human Rights & applicable laws in all of our activities and to implement the UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights, the UN Global Compact Principles, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organization and the VPSHR.

Consistent with its Human Rights commitments, it is TEP Uganda's policy to respect the rights to freedom of expression, freedom of association and freedom of peaceful assembly, as well as access to information in its engagement with stakeholders affected by its activities.

The VPSHR are nonbinding principles which offer guidance to companies in maintaining the safety and security of their operations while ensuring respect for Human Rights and humanitarian law.
